The Book of Luke Christmas Bible Reading Plan is simple! Open up your Bible to the book of Luke, and read one chapter per day, starting December 1st. Fill your heart with the reason behind the Christmas season – Jesus!

Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and be ready to receive the words God wants you to hear. As you read, focus on these four things:

  • Be Present
  • Be Inspired
  • Be Merry
  • Be Filled

Wanna really go deep with this Bible Reading plan?!? I recommend getting your hands on a good study Bible – it’s a great tool to have! If you have the right one, it will help you understand more clearly what you are reading so you can fill up on every single drop of goodness! Make sure to check out my favorite study Bible post to find out which study Bible I recommend. It’s a great help when making your way through the pages of God’s Word. And, don’t forget your HIGHLIGHTERS & a journal! It’s great practice to jot down all the things the Holy Spirit stirs your heart with while you read God’s Word.

A Christmas Story to Fill Your Heart With PLUS Bonus Content!

The Book of Luke Christmas Bible Reading Plan is a great way to fill your heart during Christmas. Luke includes the most detail about Jesus’ birth. It’s also filled to the brim with all the goodness of His life while on earth. Pair these two together and it’s the makings for a perfect Christmas-time reading plan!

There are 24 chapters in the book of Luke. If you get started on December 1st you’ll finish up the reading plan on Christmas Eve. Reading just one chapter a day gives you plenty of time to reflect and celebrate along the way. To gain the full richness of the Christmas story read Matthew chapters 1 & 2 as well! It’s totally worth it! (I included this in the reading plan below.)

“(28)And he came to her and said, ‘Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!’ (29)But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. (30)And the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. (31)And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus. (32)He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to Him the throne of his father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.'” Luke 1:28-33

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
