Let’s go on a HEART HUNT together!

Did you know a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior is all about a HEART MATTER?! Everything we do, say, and are flows from our hearts. The Bible is filled with abounding wisdom that helps get our hearts in shape for what matters most, and it’s vital for us to get down to the core of it all in order to fully understand just how important our hearts really are. God’s Word is our roadmap for life, and because it starts with our hearts and flows from our hearts we need to make sure to search the truth out as we fill up.

I’m doing some major digging for this one, and thought it would be fun to compile of list of the verses/passages where “HEART” is mentioned in the Bible. Now, if you don’t already know this about me, I LOVE exploring different Bible translations, and because each one varies slightly the numbers will also vary. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! The word “heart” is mentioned more than 500 times, depending on the translation you are hunting in. WOW!! That’s a whole lotta hearts floating around in the Word of God. This word is a significant part of the Bible and therefore a central theme we need to immerse ourselves in. SOOO…

I’m all for turning this into an Indiana Jones kind of treasure hunt, where I’m led down mysterious caverns that get me tackling tough obstacles that lead to a priceless treasure filled with magnificent wonder. Aren’t you?! Because, if I’m being real, a HEART MATTER is work! This hunt is going to be filled with life-changing obstacles that will be worth every step of the journey. I’m talking obstacles like our time, effort, grace, and patience! Finding the Bible verses/passages will be the easy step, but applying them?? That’s where the real work begins! We need to be ready to peel back the layers one-by-one and let God’s wonder-working hands do the rest.

So, what are you waiting for?! Let’s start searching out the Bible and find all those gems that mention “heart”. Once we find one, let’s dig a little deeper and find out what exactly God is trying to teach us with each and every verse/passage we find that revolves around OUR HEART MATTER.
