A Heart Filled

MY NAME IS BECKY

I’m a child of God, wife, mom, teacher, reader, artist, and lover of all things that sparkle full of color. I’m super passionate about spreading God’s rays of sunshine everywhere I go. I love Jesus, my family, friends, coffee, hot tea, sushi and junk food.

I’m in awe of the majestically painted skies God graces me with each day. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to serve God in my church. I’m super grateful for growing up a “PK” (Preacher’s Kid). I’ve been blessed with parents that raised me to know God personally, showing me daily how to love like Jesus, and providing me with a solid foundation for my faith. I’m also thankful and blessed to be married to one stellar, hard-working guy that supports me, our family, and all my crazy ventures. I’m a mom of 2 and have spent the past 15 years homeschooling and learning right alongside them both.

Homeschooling was NEVER on my radar, but once my husband and I started touring preschools God mapped out a new direction for our kids’ education and my future. Potty training started to seem like a walk in the park compared to homeschooling! But, God made the way, we followed, and blessings abound. In May 2023 I officially hung up my homeschool mom hat, but homeschooling will forever run through my blood and has helped me grow into the person I am now. It has helped me gain a clearer perspective on the life I want to continually pursue as I grow old and gray. It’s helped me lean on others in ways I never imagined, and it’s brought me closer to God. And, that my friends, is a heart filled!

Life is NOT EASY! Life is messy, life is complicated, life is rewarding yet filled with sorrow, and life is well, HARD! But life can also be filled with joy, laughter, and love. And, it’s these bursts of sunshine that make my heart full! They are the sweet sprinkles of goodness I need to make it through each day, and are only visible when I take the time to be still before my Lord and relish in all He pours upon me.

I’m continually growing in my Christian walk with my Savior and Lord, because after all there’s always more to learn! I make mistakes. I fall down at times. I cry A LOT. I set HUGE goals. I dream BIG! I care more than I should. I love, not always like Jesus, but I try! I am a child of God filled with many flaws, yet loved beyond measure.

It’s my heart’s desire to encourage others to draw near to our Heavenly Father so that they too can experience a true, genuine love that can only come through a personal relationship with our Creator. A HEART FILLED!

I pray that the words I write are a blessing, encouragement, and warm the hearts of those who find them. May “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
