A Song In Our Heart

Battle Belongs (a song to fill our hearts with)

The Lord will fight for us AND He will win every battle!

This song has gotten me through some pretty tough times. It always pops up on my playlist, or radio, when I need to hear it most. <<This, my friends, is God speaking directly to my heart!!>>

Phil’s lyrics bring a comforting message of hope to listeners, reminding those that hear the song that the battles in life are not meant to be fought alone. We have a Mighty God at our disposal! A Mighty God waiting and willing to fight for us! The only way we really should be *fighting* is by going to God in pray, laying all our concerns and fears down at His feet, and letting God work in and through us.

Hallelujah! God fights our battles!

God is our Deliverer!!

If you open up your Bible you’ll discover He’s always been fighting the battles for His people.

Take the Israelites for example. (Exodus 1-17, Numbers 10:11- 36, Joshua 1-12) He fought for them every step of the way! While they were in Egypt, when they fled from Egypt, while they wandered around in the desert, and when they made it to the Promised Land. Every battle they faced God was there fighting for them!

Then there’s David. (1 Samuel 16-31 & 2 Samuel 1-24) We meet him for the first time when he was just a shepherd boy taking on an angry giant that no one else was brave enough to fight. But, David knew God was there fighting for him and with just a sling and a pebble he stepped up, faced Goliath, and won. And, then what about all the other times David’s life was in jeopardy? God, kept showing up fighting for David every time.

What about Daniel and his friends: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? (Daniel 1-6) God continually fought for them after they were captured and drafted to serve in Nebuchadnezzar’s court. Over and over again fighting the impossible only made possible because of God!!

God does move the mountains that stand in the way of His people. He walks His people through the darkest of valleys because He’s the Deliverer! I can testify to this truth. Not only because I believe every bit of God’s Word to be true, but because I’ve seen Him work in my life and in the lives of those around me. I know He can, He will, and He does!!!

It’s time to meet God where we are! It’s time to put our faith into action, friends!!

Let’s fill our hearts with this song believing…

God is our Mighty Fortress, and He will fight our battles for us! When we fall into His loving arms and trust Him to move our mountains we can find comfort believing we are safe. Our darkest of times may seem like a never-ending cycle of brokenness, but we can hold onto our faith knowing He will shine through. Accept His promise today, and be encouraged!!

As Believers, we get to walk in confidence and sing through the night knowing that our Mighty God fights our battles for us! And, just like this song says all we have to do is pray, because we fight the strongest when we are on our knees with our hands lifted high.
