He Fills Me With Wonder – SNOWFLAKES
Snowflakes
Snowflakes fall in an array of shapes and sizes, and they are one of the many wonders God blesses us with during the winter months. It’s a true joy to ponder all God blesses us with as the seasons change. He really thought of it all, and His power is on display for us to enjoy all year long!
I love the winter! I love it most when I’m curled up under a soft, cozy blanket peering out the window at the falling snow. How about you? It’s mesmerizing to watch the majestic white sparkle twirl around in the cold winter air and fall to the ground. It fills me with such wonder!
God’s Majestic Handiwork
Friends, we get to enjoy God’s handiwork anytime we watch the snowflakes fall silently to the ground covering it up in a blanket full of His majestic design! If you get the chance to peer out at God’s white wonderland, stop and pause. Take time to enjoy the beauty He graces us with during the winter months.
Be Filled With Wonder
God wants us to enjoy the winter wonderlands He creates!
Allow God to fill you with wonder.
Look around this winter!
Snowflakes are delicately designed by our Wonderful, Mighty Creator! They fall gracefully to the ground each winter in a spectacular sight of splendor, giving us a chance to stand in awe of His beautiful work. You may not live in an area where white winters make an appearance, and so I pray you are able to rest in the beauty that surrounds you where you are this season.
May winter, however it may look in your neck of the woods, fill your heart with a cozy reminder that God is in control and loves you so very much!
Oh, how God fills me with wonder!
Bible Facts – Snowflakes
Snowflakes remind us that God’s care and attention to detail matter. (Genesis 1:31) His character and mighty power are visible in these minuscule wonders. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) Packed together, snow points to some pretty significant facts revealed in God’s Word! Snow is used in ways that help describe concepts we may have a hard time understanding otherwise. Think about it…
snow glistens
snow sparkles
snow is luminous and pure
snow is soft
snow blankets the ground
snow brings new growth
(I could keep going, but you get my drift.)
Now, add these meanings to the verses below and allow them to help bring new light to some hefty, super-important concepts.
Before you dig into the verses I wanted to mention this is a great time to explore different Bible translations! There’s a lot of translations out there, so here’s a few I suggest: NLT, NKJV, ESV, NIV, and KJV. These are typically the ones I reference to, but don’t limit yourself as there’s several others I also enjoy using. As you explore the different translations, it’s important to make sure what you’re reading lines up with the original text, so make sure you are cross-referencing and keeping God at the center of your digging.
Snow serves as a revitalizing reminder! (Proverbs 25:13, Isaiah 55:10-11)
God is in control! (Job 37:6, Isaiah 55:10)
God’s radiance is whiter than snow! (Daniel 7:9, Revelation 1:14)
Jesus’ blood washes us whiter than snow – a symbol of purity! (Psalms 51:7, Isaiah 1:18)
Snow points us to God’s abundant love, hope, and joy! Our Divine Creator is really SO AMAZING, friends. He took such great care in designing every part of creation and we get to enjoy it all!
Snowflakes are just one of the many wonders God has gifted us with and I have to say I’m so thankful He added these sparkling, white beauties to winter. They brighten up my life, remind me just how much He loves me, and fill my heart with wonder.
Have been washed…in His blood – the blood that makes you whiter than snow?!?
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”
James 4:8 (NLT)
