Inward Beauty
Beauty starts at the HEART! That is a changed heart brought on by the Spirit’s leading. (Romans 2:29 NLT) It’s a beauty far more precious than rubies!
Inward beauty is a heart matter!
To prepare for this post I decided to go on a “beauty hunt” to see what defines beauty – wordly vs. Godly. My beauty hunt consisted of a search via Google and a search via The Bible. I jotted down interesting/important words I ran across as I explored this topic. Let’s check them out together!
Beauty Hunt via Google
Beauty Hunt via The Bible
Another one that pulled up during my Bible hunt was FEAR-OF-THE-LORD. It’s when we stand in awe of our Lord and Savior, respecting, honoring, and loving Him for all He is and all He does that we begin to transform inwardly. Friends, it’s the fear of the Lord that brings about the most beautiful of change inwardly. (To read more on fearing the Lord, CLICK HERE.)
Open your Bible & Fill your HEART!
Below are some of the verses I referenced to during my hunt. I only scratched the surface, so I encourage you to find some others! AND…while you’re searching pay attention to the words that pop out at you, because the words I listed above are just a few of the many that help us with our inward beauty.
So what can we learn from this “beauty hunt”?? How about virtues drenched in Bible truths bring about more defined beauty! Inward beauty enhances a smoother, more full, life! Filling up on God’s word highlights areas in our own lives we can work on, improving and reshaping – plump up per say! So, as we strive for these amazing results remember beauty comes from within and that’s where God is looking.
The most attractive beauty regime begins inward, because that’s where the Lord looks, friends!!! It’s never too late for a makeover. So what are you waiting for? Open up your Bible and apply often.
