A Heart Filled With A Verse For Christmas
“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matthew 2:10 (ESV)
O, What A Star
Do you ever start reading the Bible and get SO EXCITED, and the more you dig the MORE EXCITED you get?! Then you find yourself pouring out all your excitement into worship? This verse does that for me! By the time I make it to this verse, as I’m studying the birth of Jesus, I’m already overflowing with an abundance of joy. Then I read, “When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy” and my heart just bursts. It’s a good bursting! It’s a rush of exhilaration I cannot even describe in words. I feel the joy those wise men felt in this verse. I stand in awe just thinking about that moment when they finally made it to the house where the young child – Jesus – was. They had followed the star for so long. With every mile they traveled, the star was there guiding them straight to the King!
“And, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.”

JESUS IS WORTH THE TRAVEL!
The wise men traveled for thousands and thousands of miles! They were on a mission and the star lead the way. O, what a star!
God’s hands were all over the story we celebrate each Christmas. Friends, He works miracles! His miracles are what this season is all about. He is so worth all the time and energy we put into traveling closer and closer to Him. As we journey through the Bible, He shows us what His love is all about! When we fill our hearts up with all the good stuff, we gain His GREAT JOY!
“Where is He that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:2 (KJV)
The wise men, while on their travels to find Jesus, asked this question when they appeared before King Herod. It’s a great question to ponder. Are you searching for the King? Is it full on dedication, like the wise men? If not, it’s time for your journey. Open your Bible and fill your heart, friend! Find the joy God has ready and waiting for you.
JESUS IS ALL ABOUT MIGHTY MIRACLES!
O, how I pray you are able to see His miracles all around you! God is working! He is shining the way for you. Believe! Walk by faith knowing Jesus is THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD! He loves you, cares for you, and has amazing plans for your life. Fill your heart with God’s promises and allow Him to be the star that lights your path. Rejoice in who He is and all He does!
