Prayer Walk Intro (Week 10)
This is the last prayer walk devo for the 2024 A Heart Filled Prayer Walk Devotion Series. I pray each devotion in this series has been an encouragement to every reader that stopped by. I also pray this devotion series will continue to help strengthen and inspire a deeper prayer walk for all those that continue to stop by and fill up!
Friends, stay FAITHFUL!
A deeper prayer walk starts with each one of us!! We determine how far we want our relationship to grow with the Lord and every prayer we send up allows it to bloom bigger, stronger, brighter!! So…
Pray without ceasing!!
Prayer is THE connection!!
Prayer is the connection we need in order to thrive in our relationship with our Lord and Savior.
EXCITING NEWS – Jesus’ sacrifice tore the curtain and made it possible for open, one-on-one, communication with our Creator, Savior, and King!!
We get to talk to God whenever, wherever…AND…as much as we need to!! He is always bending down, listening. We can talk to Him about it all!! So…
Pray about EVERYTHING!!
God hears us!!
We can boldly send our prayers up with confidence knowing **without a doubt** He’s there ready and waiting to chat with us. When we fill our hearts with His words we understand more and more what each and every single one of these prayer walk Bible verses is all about!! Each one of the verses included in this devo series is comforting, uplifting, and just what we all need to be reminded of from time to time.
Prayer is essential!!
It allows us, as Believers, to pour our hearts out to our Heavenly Father. In the good times and the bad, prayer gives us the opportunity to praise God through it all!! Every time we pray our trust and hope, in God alone, grows stronger and stronger. It’s a safe space for all our emotions, thoughts, heartaches, pain, dreams, stresses, triumphs, rejoicing…I’m talking about it all!!
Whatever we are facing, whatever weighs heavy on our hearts, whatever floods our minds…He wants us to talk to Him about it! The happy, the sad, and everything in between!! Our Lord’s ears are opened, He hears us and He understands. When we pray, the Author and Perfecter shows us just how secure and safe His loving arms are, and just how sure, solid, and unshakeable His foundation really is!!! Friends, prayer is meant for connection…connection to the One who created us in His image.
Center your heart on God and PRAY!!
Prayer changes things!!
It changes us and it changes those we pray for. Friends, there is power in prayer and it’s worth our time to talk to God **regularly**. Check out what this week’s Bible verse says…
Prayer Walk: Ephesians 6:18 (Week 10)
In this week’s prayer walk Bible verse we are reminded that we are to pray ALL THE TIME, in every occasion. AND…not only that, but we are to be persistent!! THEN…Ephesians 6:18 takes this lesson a step further as it tells us to be persistent in praying for others!! This is something Paul felt the need to remind those reading his letter about and when we choose to open up our Bibles we get to read all about this important reminder too…because Paul wrote these words for everyone!!
Yep, God’s calling all prayer warriors to pray for others!! We get to pray for those we love!! We get to pray for those we care about!! Friends, we can pray to God about anybody and everybody!! AND…it’s our duty as a Christian to do this!! Because…praying for others is important!!!
I love me some quotes from Priscilla Shirer!! Her words ignite flames all around. And, this quote about prayer being kryptonite is just what I needed to hear when I stumbled upon it while creating social media content for this devo series. I love how she makes her points come across in ways we can actually visualize!! I mean…for reals…a portal where Heaven’s power reigns down on Earth…SOOO GOOD, friends!!!
There is POWER in prayer!!
Prayer is REAL!! Prayer is THE WAY to communicate it all to God Almighty and then, after we send those prayers up, we get to sit back and watch Him work. And this is made possible because we were made for a relationship with our Creator!! But, we have to take the time to build this relationship. We have to take the time to fill our hearts with God’s Word. When we open up our Bibles and allow God to speak truth into us we get to drench our hearts in it all! Friends, God wants us to know Him and He wants to teach us all about His love, majesty, splendor, and might!!
Our God is an AWESOME GOD!! AND, when we persistently pray about others it changes things…changes us, changes them, changes the whole picture. It’s pure wonder and amazement dealt out only by the Creator of the Universe. God Almighty is the ONLY one who can move the mountains, and He is the ONLY one to make a way. His plans are perfection…His will is where it’s at.
So, get down on your knees and pray!! Pray for your family, pray for those that cross your path, pray for those across the ocean, pray for those in charge, pray for those who serve, pray for those in need, pray for…the world!!
Be persistent!!! Don’t give up!!! Keep praying!!!
Pray For Others
Pray God’s will be done in the lives of those around you, and in the lives of fellow Believers everywhere!! Paul was inspired to write about this because he knew spending time in prayer **focused on others** is important!!! And, not only that it is important but it can be just the right dose of humbleness a heart needs. It can refocus our attention, which we all need from time to time, and it also allows us to live more like Jesus. I’m telling you when your thoughts are so wrapped up in how you can pray for others that kryptonite becomes even more powerful!! Give it a try!!
Pray persistently about others!!!
Pray God’s will be done in their lives!!!
It’s time to pray!!
Read the words Paul wrote in this week’s Bible verse, store them in your heart, and then commit yourself to persistently pray for others.
Summer is almost here…how about we all pray like this through the summer?!? AND…then, as we see God’s hand move in mighty ways let’s recommit ourselves to this kind of prayer walk as the seasons change!
Friends, people need prayer and we can be the ones to pray for them!!
