Psalms: Chapters 111-120 | Awe-Inspiring Scripture from the book of Psalms! | Open your Bible and fill your heart today!

So many wonderful Bible verses can be found in the book of Psalms! Verses to meditate on, inspire and uplift a soul, and totally get a heart pumping full of majestic joy. AND…I wanted to share the ones that speak truth into my heart, fill me up with gladness, and keep me singing praise to the King of kings.

Although, I do highly recommend each heart take the time needed to journey through this book of the Bible on their own I pray the verses I share will be an encouragement to those that read through them! I also pray these verses I share will ignite a flame of desire in the hearts of many to open up their Bibles and fill up on the powerful words Psalms offers.

Friends, God’s Word is alive and active!!! Every bit of the Bible is useful, and it’s up to each one of us to dig in and fill up. So without further ado, it’s time to dig into Psalms: Chapters 111-120!

Friends, fill your heart with God’s splendor and wonder-working ways! Let the book of Psalms flood your soul. Get excited and be uplifted!!! God’s awesome, divine nature shines through in every single Psalm found in the Bible, and we have access 24/7. Filling up on God’s goodness is ours for the taking every single day we are alive, friends!!!

It’s all about A HEART FILLED! So, fill up!!!

Awe-Inspiring Scripture Found In Psalms: Chapters 111-120

Side Note – I’ve referenced all the verses using the NLT version, but I love exploring different translations so I encourage you to find your favorite translation for each. May you delight in your search!

(1) Psalms 111:3

If we take the time to slow down and let God speak we see Him all around! And, when we do this our hope, and trust, in Him grows. It’s a beautiful thing!!! The daily glimpses of His glory is what keeps me going, and they can keep you going as well. It’s in these times, when we slow down, we fully understand what this Psalmist was saying.

“Everything He does reveals His glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.“

(2) Psalms 112:4

Psalm 112 speaks of a Believer’s life filled with faith. When we choose a life with Jesus, when we accept salvation freely, we no longer have to walk in the darkness. Jesus is our light and His path leads to a life filled with generosity, compassion, and righteousness. There is so much joy found in walking side by side our Savior and Lord.

“Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.”

(3) Psalms 113:2-4

Blessed be the name; blessed be the name; blessed be the name of the Lord our God!!! Praise His name, friends!!

“Blessed be the name of the Lord now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the Lord. For the Lord is high above the nations; His glory is higher than the Heavens.“

(4) Psalms 114:7

Rend Collective’s song, Your Name Is Power is what I’m singing to as I fill up on this verse! God’s power is mighty, friends!! Stand in awe!

“Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.“

(5) Psalms 115:1

God is worthy! He is faithful and His love endures forever, friends!

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name goes all the glory for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.“

(6) Psalms 116:1-2

Prayer is vital, friends!! And, these verses speak volumes to my heart! Jesus’ sacrifice tore the veil and opened up a whole new world for us. God’s Word backs up the solid truth that anytime we go to Him in prayer He hears! And, not only that but “He bends down to listen“!! Can we all stand behind what the Psalmist said here?? “I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!“

(7) Psalms 117:2

There is absolutely nothing in this world that compares to the Savior’s love!! The “powerful” part gets me when I read through this verse!! It’s true and love it! It seriously sets my heart on fire.

“For His unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!“

(8) Psalms 118:24

You know I’m singing the lyrics, so join me! “This is the day; this is the day that the Lord has made; that the Lord has made; we will rejoice; we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.” Every day is blessing from the Lord and we get the choice to rejoice and be glad! What will you choose today?

(9) Psalms 119:1-2

I love this entire Psalm!! So, to pick just one verse that inspires me is impossible, but for the sake of these posts I did. Stay tuned though, because I will be diving deeper into this Psalm and writing all about it!! I can’t wait to share all the goodness with you!! (Fun fact – Psalms 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible!) Be joyful in Jesus, friends!!

(10) Psalms 120:1

More, more about prayer!! Friends, God hears us AND He answers us!! Yeah, He may not answer in the way we are hoping He does, but just keep in mind He knows what’s best and how the story ends. AND, this is a blessing!! His answers may not be the “yes” we’re praying for but we can be assured His will surpasses anything we could even imagine!! So, take your troubles to the Lord and stand in confidence.

“I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to Him, and He answered my prayer.“

Friends, I pray these verses will encourage, strengthen, and uplift you today!! I pray you allow the Holy Spirit to intervene in your life and show you just how amazing you are in His eyes. I pray you got filled, excited, and are able to keep the worship going strong all week long!
