Psalms: Chapters 71-80

So many wonderful Bible verses can be found in the book of Psalms! Verses to meditate on, inspire and uplift a soul, and totally get a heart pumping full of majestic joy. AND…I wanted to share the ones that speak truth into my heart, fill me up with gladness, and keep me singing praise to the King of kings.

Although, I do highly recommend each heart take the time needed to journey through this book of the Bible on their own I pray the verses I share will be an encouragement to those that read through them! I also pray these verses I share will ignite a flame of desire in the hearts of many to open up their Bibles and fill up on the powerful words Psalms offers.

Friends, God’s Word is alive and active!!! Every bit of the Bible is useful, and it’s up to each one of us to dig in and fill up. So without further ado, it’s time to dig into Psalms: Chapters 71-80!

God’s awesome, divine nature shines through in every single Psalm found in the Bible, and we have access 24/7. Filling up on God’s goodness is ours for the taking every single day we are alive, friends!!!

Awe-Inspiring Scripture Found In Psalms: Chapters 71-80

(1) Psalms 71:6

Oh, how wonderful it would be if the whole world were resting in the solid, comforting fact found in this verse! God has always been with us! From the very start, friends. What a wonderful thing to praise Him for.

“Yes, You have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb You have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising You!”

(2) Psalms 72:18-19

God IS worthy of all our praise!!

“Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things. Praise His glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and amen!”

(3) Psalms 73:26

No matter what God IS our strength!! It’s through His power, and His power alone.

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.”

(4) Psalms 74:16-17

God’s Creation is filled with wonder and amazement!! Friends, look around and stand in awe!

“Both day and night belong to You; You made the starlight and the sun. You set the boundaries of the Earth, and You made both summer and winter.”

(5) Psalms 75:1

Having a heart filled with gratitude towards God makes all the difference! A grateful heart is able to give thanks, and in turn that thanks bubbles up inside and overflows all around. This is how the news of God’s wonderful deeds spreads!!

“We thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds.”

(6) Psalms 76:4

This verse speaks volumes about God’s divine nature! How amazing and wonderful our Heavenly Father truly is!!

“You are glorious and more majestic than the everlasting mountains.”

(7) Psalms 77:13-14

More Scripture that speaks volumes about God’s divine nature!! This entire Psalm is majestic!! Make sure to read through it.

“O God, Your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as You? You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate Your awesome power among the nations.”

(8) Psalms 78:4, 7

Not only is this Psalm a wonderful history lesson, it’s a living testimony of who God is!! And, these two verses remind us we have a part to play in it all. It’s up to us to pass these truths along to the next generation. It’s up to us to tell about all of God’s glorious deeds, power, and mighty wonders. It’s up to us to tell others about His unfailing, beautiful, magnificent love!!

“(4)We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power and His mighty wonders. (7)So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting His glorious miracles and obeying His commands.”

(9) Psalms 79:13

More talk about thanking God!! There is something so special about giving thanks to the Shepherd.

“Then we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever and ever, praising Your greatness from generation to generation.”

(10) Psalms 80:19

This is the third time this verse is repeated in this particular Psalm. This means something!!! This kind of repetition is meant to draw attention to something important! Something worth digging into actually!! Check out what the Life Application Study Bible Notes ©2004, p. 930, have to say about the meaning behind these three verses, “Before God can turn us to Himself, we must turn away from sin. Repentance involves humbling ourselves and turning to God to receive His forgiveness. As we turn to God, He helps us see ourselves, including our sin, more clearly. Then, as we see our sin, we must repeat the process of repentance. Only then can we constantly be restored to fellowship with God.” What a wonderful reminder!

“Turn us again to Yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make Your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.”

Friends, I pray these verses will encourage, strengthen, and uplift you today!! I pray you allow the Holy Spirit to intervene in your life and show you just how amazing you are in His eyes. I pray you got filled, excited, and are able to keep the worship going strong all week long!
