A Song In Our Heart

FLAWLESS (a song to fill our hearts with)

I can’t say enough about this song and the message it sends out to the world. It’s the truth we all hear, but can have a hard time coming to terms with – The cross was enough!!

As I wrap up my winter studies I thought this song would be a great ending to the finding rest in God’s presence path I’ve been on this season. It’s what drawing closer to Him is all about! No doubts. Only assurance and peace, because of God’s love for ALL of mankind.

The Cross Was Enough

God’s great and mighty love sent His Son to die upon the cross for us, for our sins. (John 3:16) Jesus paid it all for us!! His payment in full washed our sins whiter than snow. We are forgiven and healed! Our Heavenly Father graciously provides genuine, true forgiveness because Jesus paid it all! And, the icing on the cake? We became flawless the day He died upon the cross! Oh, but it didn’t stop at His last breath upon the cross, because He is risen and He is alive!!

He is our Savior and Lord, and He reigns forever and ever! AMEN!!

So…the cherry on top of all this sweetness?? His payment in full allowed us to gain full access to Him. This means when we accept His free gift of salvation we gain a Helper, and not only that, but we are also able to come to Him anytime, anywhere, as much as we need!! He wraps us up in His righteousness!! We get to pour our hearts out to our Maker, turn to Him in repentance, lean into His understanding, allow Him to guide our steps, and watch Him intervene in wonder-working ways all because of the cross.

Jesus’ death and resurrection means everything, friends!

JESUS PAID IT ALL

He came to a world full of sin and darkness,

Pouring out light wherever He went,

Teaching and preaching

the Good News to all,

Training up those He sent out into the world,

All to fulfill His mission of love,

Foretold throughout Scripture,

A brutal and heart-wrenching death,

In order to save us all,

He suffered, bled, and died!

But, three days in the grave

could not hold Him in,

Because He rose and lives today!!

But why? Because of us!!

He paid the ultimate price, IN FULL,

THE CROSS WAS ENOUGH!

And…we, by faith, get to

claim it as our own!!

This is amazing news!!!

Friends, we are flawless in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. We are forgiven and healed because of the cross. The truth is simple – Jesus’ sacrifice is all that was and will ever be needed! Our job? Claim it by faith! Because of His sacrifice we get to take a breath, smile, and say, “Right here, right now, I’m ok because the cross was enough!”

It’s never too late for God’s grace.

Repeat after me….THE CROSS WAS ENOUGH!!! JESUS’ SACRIFICE MADE ME FLAWLESS!!!
